I am not sure what else to do here, I am simply asking for a partial refund, which could be money, credit, plugins or whatever because I am not planning to send the device back to California and incur the additional shipping charges (back and forth) and more duties and taxes etc. Also Reverb decided they couldn't support my claim either because I had bought the item in the US and then forwarded it to Bangkok, Thailand. So then I complained on Reverb and opened a ticket directly on the Reverb website and theres was a bit of back and forth for about a week and then all communication stopped UAD stopped, possibly because they didn't like what I had to say. I basically paid $ 1,599.00 for a device that could in fact be almost 2 years old, it's just too much money for something that old. All the images of the item in the listing were stock photos of a new Apollo X4, unit even though Reverb requires sellers to post photos of the actual unit and highlight any damage that the item may have, so that potential buyers are aware of the condition the item is in. In any case it became pretty clear to me that this was in fact a year old (if not older) 2nd hand unit that was repaired or something then dumped back into its old beat up box and passed of as Refurbished/NEW/B-Stock on the Reverb website.
#UAD APOLLO X4 SOFTWARE#
Then after hooking it up and downloading the software I noticed my unit was paired with an Apollo Twin MK II according to the hardware configuration in Luna/Console, I can delete the Twin, but it comes back every time I restart the software (I don't own an Apollo Twin). And then along the away I also discovered a tiny chip on the jogwheel and some scuffing,on the right side of the unit. I received the unit a few weeks ago (I am based in Bangkok, Thailand) and I immediately noticed the box and "picture frame" inside the box as well as the box containing the adapter looked very used, pretty beat up is more accurate, I would say. I recently purchase a Universal Audio Apollo x4 QUAD Thunderbolt 3 Audio Interface (Refurbished/New) on directly from Universal Audio. If you decide not to print them to the track, you have the option to copy the plugin settings to the same plugin inserted in the DAW-very flexible.ĮXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE PURCHASE AND UNIVERSAL AUDIO SUPPORT Also, in Console you have the option to monitor or print plugin effects.

#UAD APOLLO X4 UPDATE#
UA plugins are very good, although a bit pricey however, they don’t have an annual update fee (at least for now). Another is the quality of the ADC/DAC’s (very clean). That is, in the DAW, it allows UA plugins to be used simultaneously with native plugins. One of the things I like about the Apollo is that it can be used as a hybrid system.
#UAD APOLLO X4 HOW TO#
It took me some time to get up to speed with the it but, fortunately, there are a lot of instructions on the Internet as to how to use it. I didn’t use the Console app much with the Twin Solo because of the limited DSP. The x4 has four processors so I can now load an adequate number of plugins. I also have a satellite but those processors are not available for use with the Console app so I could barely load two Unison preamp plugins before exceeding DSP capability. The problem with the Twin was too little DSP power and I wanted a couple of additional inputs for convenient reamping.
#UAD APOLLO X4 UPGRADE#
I got the x4 as an upgrade for a Twin MkII Solo.
